Printmaking

I want to know and respect tradition and cultural values of the passed generations. I strive for harmony in my own work. Even though I often use naïve and nostalgic imagery of the past, my desire is to express feelings and views about the present. My main influences come from Russian and European cultures. Recently I feel more of a connection with American culture. I admire 20th century American artists such as Howard Cook, Wanda Gag, Leonard Baskin, Antonio Frasconi, Isabel Bishop and others.
